Indifferent faces, moving crowds, patches of red dotting the cold streets of Prague, bringing warmth to the hurried intersections of passing lives. The station is indeed a place of sad farewells, as the father, a switchman (played by Vladimír Javorský), carries his son Rado (played by Ladislav Ondrej) through the crowd of parting people, watching them bid farewell to family, lovers, and the cities that left their marks. The lives of the father and son are simple and unadorned, yet their happiness has never been diminished by the incompleteness of their family. The son wishes to visit his father's workplace the next day, unaware that this would be a promise that changes many lives... The film won the Best Film Award at the 2003 Palm Springs International Short Film Festival and the Crystal Heart Award at the 2003 Heartland Film Festival.
