Sister Tao (played by Yip Dick-hyun) has been the old servant of the Li family for decades, raising the second generation young master, Roger (played by Andy Lau) to adulthood. Roger works as a film producer, still single at over fifty, while Sister Tao continues to care for him as a habit… One day, Sister Tao goes to the market as usual to buy groceries, returns to the apartment to make soup, and prepares a table full of meals while waiting for Roger to come home from a business trip in the mainland. As Sister Tao looks out at the street scene to pass the time, she unexpectedly faints on the ground... When Sister Tao wakes up, she finds herself in the hospital; she has had a stroke! One arm cannot move freely, and she must use physical therapy to try to regain her mobility. Roger, busy with work, finds a suitable nursing home for Sister Tao. During this time, he unexpectedly meets Brother Grasshopper (played by Anthony Wong), an acquaintance from his past film shoots. After Sister Tao is discharged, she arrives at the nursing home where the environment is unfamiliar and the residents are strange, but she tries to appear calm. Roger often visits Sister Tao during his breaks, and their conversations are just like a mother-son relationship. They continue their habit of teasing each other, with Sister Tao being tough on the outside but sweet on the inside, much to the envy of the other residents. Roger deliberately takes Sister Tao to a film premiere; she purposefully dresses up for the occasion, finally using long-stored valuable clothes to attend the event. At the premiere, Sister Tao's eyes are opened to new experiences, and she finally has the opportunity to meet movie stars. She reflects that she has no regrets in her life…
