The movie "Master of Southern Fist" is based on the legendary master Liu Yamei. Liu Yamei, originally named Liu Yuanbo, was born during the Qing Xianfeng era. In his youth, he moved from Dongbangtang Village in Haifeng County to Gongping Market to make a living with his uncle and initially worked as a porter at the docks. During his time there, he witnessed too much inequality and resolved to learn martial arts to strengthen himself and fight for justice.
