After breaking up with her boyfriend, Xiao Wu rents an apartment in a Beijing alley due to an unexpected writing fee, hoping for her own world. However, her mother, unable to get along with the elderly at home, moves in with her. A peculiar war begins. Every morning, as she opens her eyes, her mother’s absurd living rules and paranoid behaviors torment Xiao Wu in every corner of the house.
