The story follows a mysterious old hermit (Christopher Lloyd), known as the "Mad Captain," and a young orphan. The old hermit has an eccentric lifestyle, cycling daily to pick flowers, gazing at the sea, and tending to graves. His life appears normal, yet he exudes an unacceptable aura.
