It is said that loyalty and trust are important bonds in maintaining marriage, but Ludvik (played by Bolek Polívka) thinks it's utter nonsense. In his view of marriage, infidelity and cheating not only add excitement to the relationship but also create a sense of crisis for his wife, making their relationship filled with passion due to that very crisis. Whether it's coincidence or luck, Ludvik, who has adhered to this "twisted logic," has always had a happy marriage, which further strengthens his belief that he is right. Ludvik's daughter Alice (played by Petra Hrebícková) is about to marry a man named Andrew (played by Jirí Machácek). To Ludvik's disappointment, Andrew intends to be what is considered a "model husband" in the eyes of ordinary people. Eager and anxious, Ludvik decides to take matters into his own hands with his daughter, hoping that Alice can learn from him and adopt his ways of maintaining a marriage.
