Abandoned as a baby in a department store, Fang Fang (Zhang Ziyi) grows up to become a super shopping fanatic. Unable to control her shopping desires, she falls into financial trouble, and to make matters worse, she faces consecutive job losses. After reflecting on her situation, she decides to see a psychiatrist, only to find that this unusual psychiatrist, Li Jianren (Liu Qingyun), suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder regarding choices. During her therapy, Li Jianren's nurse goes into premature labor, and Fang Fang helps ensure the safety of both mother and child, which earns her a job—but the condition is that she must help Li Jianren with his choice issues. Soon, Fang Fang meets He Qiongfou (Chen Xiaochun), who shares her shopping addiction, and suggests he see a psychologist. However, He Qiongfou is notoriously stingy and reluctant to pay for doctor visits, so Fang Fang ends up acting as his therapist. Just as Fang Fang is struggling with credit card debt, she discovers that both He Qiongfou and Li Jianren are wealthy Hong Kong tycoons, and simultaneously dating them leads her to awkwardly juggle two dates at once.
