Gang member A-Hao (played by William Li) makes a living by working as a pimp, but he is passionate and goes all out to protect the girls. He is imprisoned for a year after taking the blame for a younger brother. A-Hai (played by Ethan Juan) is a lead singer with a dream of a band, caught in the conflict between ideals and reality. His friend and bandmate betrays him to go solo, and the remaining members must face their own life issues, resorting to working as waiters and participating in drug trials to sustain their rehearsals. A-Hai's girlfriend May (played by Zhou Chuchu) cannot bear the hardship and leaves him. Meanwhile, after being released from prison, A-Hao is beaten by former younger brothers, and the two lonely men meet in the city for the first time.
