This film is based on a true story, following seven-year-old Adrian as he grows up in the underground drug scene of Salzburg, Austria, known worldwide for its culture and classical music. His mother, Helga, struggles between her addiction and her love for her son. Despite such an environment, Adrian has a happy and normal childhood. However, when authorities and child welfare services discover Helga's addiction, their relationship is restricted.
