In the desolate Australian outback, a long, straight, empty highway stretches on, where a father and son with a strained relationship are on the road. The father, Kevin (Hugo Weaving), a volatile and disheveled middle-aged man, embarks on this life-or-death journey with his ten-year-old son, Chuck (Tom Russell). To escape from a crime, Kevin recklessly chooses to go on the run. In the lonely, barren deserts and plains of Australia, the father and son must not only struggle against all unknown factors for survival but also confront their sometimes close, sometimes conflicting father-son relationship. Faced with life-and-death dilemmas, they are heading towards an unknown tomorrow. Directed by Grandy Ivan, the film "The Last Journey" is adapted from an award-winning Australian novel.
