In search of tranquility, Tom (played by Lewis Fiander) and his pregnant wife Evelyn (played by Prunella Ransome) arrive at the remote island of Almanzora. The mild weather and beautiful scenery delight Tom, but the perceptive Evelyn senses something strange. It turns out to be an island populated only by children, with no adults in sight. Evelyn feels deeply unsettled by this discovery, yet they do not leave, and the gates of hell are opened. Soon, the children on the island reveal their true nature—cruel, violent, and dehumanizing. The reason there are no adults on this island is that they have all died at the hands of the children. Faced with the unwanted guests, Tom and Evelyn become targets of the children’s attack. As the pursuit ensues, Tom, a biologist, gradually uncovers that a strange virus is the root cause of the children's madness.
