The story takes place in the 1930s, as the iron heel of Japanese imperialism echoes across East Asia, with legendary tales unfolding during this tumultuous era. In China, Lieutenant Colonel Lim Suk-jin (Lee Jung-jae), serving the Korean provisional government, releases the death-sentenced independence army sniper Ahn Ok-yoon (Jun Ji-hyun) from prison. He then recruits demolition expert Hwang Deok-sam (Choi Deok-won) and "Rapid Fire" graduate of the military academy, Choi Soo-woo (Jo Jin-woong), and gives them a secret order to assassinate the commander of the Japanese garrison in Korea and the traitors of their own country. The dangerous operation begins, but the Japanese quickly receive intel about the assassination mission. In a chaotic and tense atmosphere, a thrilling showdown filled with conspiracy unfolds, marking a perilous confrontation regarding the fate of the nation... This film won the Best Film Award at the 36th Korean Blue Dragon Awards in 2015.
