In the late years of the Zhou Dynasty, the country was plagued by war and despotism, causing the people to suffer and the nation to teeter on the brink of collapse. During this chaotic time, demons and other evildoers emerged to take advantage of the disorder. The Emperor of Zhou, possessed by the fox demon Ling Ji, ordered the nationwide extermination of hunters who used bows and arrows, leaving none alive. Twelve-year-old Han Qi (played by Gong Yijie) was raised in a village of hunters. His parents were brutally killed by transformed official soldiers, but fortunately, Han Qi was saved by the master of Lingjing Valley and became his disciple.
