Leo (played by Christopher Lambert) was once a prominent boxer who retired to settle in the small Caribbean town of Cartagena. However, after saying goodbye to his glorious career, he suddenly found himself lost in life, spending his days aimlessly in bars. One day, out of necessity, he applied for a caregiver job, responsible for taking care of a woman named Moïra (played by Sophie Marceau) who was left paralyzed from a car accident. Once a capable and competitive businesswoman, Moïra seems to have lost all her vitality since the accident robbed her of her mobility. Despite her immense wealth, she can no longer feel the vibrancy of life or the gentle waves she once enjoyed. Feeling hollowed out by life, Moïra can only lie in bed day after day and nitpick at Leo's care. However, as their two souls rub against each other, they start to find common ground; gradually, Leo not only isn't scared off by Moïra's criticism but also rediscovers the charm of life. One morning, Moïra unexpectedly touches the meaning of life again through Leo's snoring...
