Old Zhang (played by Kwan Hoi-san), who has not been involved in the martial arts world for years, opens a seaside PUB and lives a simple and happy life with his daughter Ah Li (played by Wang Zuxian) and his partner Ah Lie (played by Chung Chan-to). Ah Li and Ah Lie are a couple. One day, Old Zhang is approached by an old partner and is reluctantly forced back into action, but things take a turn for the worse when Ah Lie, whom he is coerced into being a driver, becomes a murderer. When Old Zhang calls on Ah Li to join him and Ah Lie in a smuggling attempt, they are caught. To save him, Ah Li agrees to work for the gangster big boss (played by Chan Wui-man) and tricks Ah Lie into going to the Philippines first. Six years later, Ah Lie has become a renowned assassin in the Philippines, while Ah Li has taken on a big sister role, accompanied by her loyal little brother Ah Xiang (played by Tony Leung). The gangster big boss learns that an old partner will testify against him in court and sends someone to eliminate that person, who happens to be Ah Lie. During the mission, Ah Lie unexpectedly reunites with Ah Li; despite never forgetting her over the six years, he still displays a cold demeanor. Time cannot extinguish love, and after discovering the truth about the events from years ago, Ah Lie takes Ah Li's hand, which he has long missed. However, their reunion is witnessed by the big boss's subordinate, the scheming Liao Ge (played by Lau Chih-wei), who has always wanted to take advantage of Ah Li. As Ah Li packs her things, the malicious Liao Ge appears, but Ah Xiang arrives just in time to shatter his dreams, which subsequently alarms the big boss.
