Nominated for the New Generation competition at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival. The film is written and directed by La Huajia, a graduate of Beijing Film Academy, with renowned director Wanma Caidan as producer and famous cinematographer Lv Songye as the cinematographer. Producers include Chen Zhong from Qingying Factory and Meng Zhong from the Department of Literature. The film is adapted from the short story of the same name by Tsai Long. It tells the story of a little boy named Wangza, living in a farming area in Tibet, who has always wanted a beautiful pair of rain boots. However, after he finally gets a pair, it never rains. He longs for the next heavy rain so that he can wear his rain boots on a rainy day...
