Ah Fai (played by Simon Yam) grew up in Mong Kok, living under the protection of the triad boss, Uncle Hung. He has long been accustomed to the bloody conflicts within the gang. Big Dong and Ah Fai are in the same gang, and he is very jealous of Ah Fai’s recognition from Uncle Hung, constantly trying to compete with him. Ah Fai is tired of the open and covert struggles within the gang and has long wanted to leave this place of turmoil.
By chance, Ah Fai meets a woman named Ah Yue (played by Gigi Lai). Ah Yue's background is very similar to Ah Fai's; suffering from a terminal illness, she has lost hope for the future and spends her days in a haze. With Ah Fai's help, Ah Yue gradually finds meaning in life, and a genuine feeling develops between her and Ah Fai. Ah Fung (played by Ma Chun Wai) is a gang member who is deeply attracted to Ah Yue's openness but knows that her heart already belongs to another.
