Day for Night is a cinematic technical term that refers to shooting night scenes during the day. This film tells the story of the filmmaking process. The movie "Meet Pamela" is currently in full swing, and the director Ferrand (played by François Truffaut) not only has to manage the filming but also take care of the actors' emotions. This includes the emotional issues of the fragile and sensitive male lead Alphonse (played by Jean-Pierre Léaud) and the mentally distressed actress Julie Baker (played by Jacqueline Bisset). The movie must also be completed by the agreed-upon time, and the progress of filming is not going smoothly. Everything seems to be going so badly—will "Meet Pamela" be finished...? This film brilliantly showcases the filmmaking process through a "play within a play" structure. The film won the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film in 1974.
