The story takes place during World War II, where a group of German officers also expressed dissatisfaction with Hitler's (played by Udo Schenk) brutal tyranny, hoping to eliminate the Nazi Party and reconcile with the Allies. However, Hitler's naturally cautious and suspicious nature, along with his unpredictable movements, made him hard to reach, and previous assassination attempts had all ended in failure. The only one with a hopeful chance of approaching Hitler was a young officer named Stauffenberg (played by Sebastian Koch), who had an impressive military record and earned the trust and admiration of the dictator. Together with his aide Lieutenant Henning von Tresckow (played by Hardy Krüger Jr.), Stauffenberg embarked on a perilous journey with a suitcase filled with explosives. Although the explosives were successfully detonated and Stauffenberg managed to escape, unfortunately, Hitler survived, and the plotters of this assassination attempt faced a fate only of death.
