The kind-hearted Taoist priest Lin Zhengying (played by Lin Zhengying) sets up an altar to worship spirit babies that were unable to reincarnate due to being aborted by their mothers, resulting in the destruction of their physical bodies. Most of the spirit babies on the altar are innocent and adorable, but three of them, having been aborted multiple times, are filled with resentment and are incredibly evil. The priest orders his disciples Qiusheng (played by Qian Xiaohao) and Wencai (played by Xu Guanying) to take the spirit babies' effigies to his junior sister Zhagu (played by Ng Jun-rue), but accidentally releases an evil spirit baby that had not yet completed its training, which attaches itself to Zhengying's old lover, Lianmei (played by Kwan Siu-mei). Lianmei marries a warlord who is troubled by a mysterious illness, and he invites Zhengying and his disciples to help. Zhengying discovers that the warlord's father has transformed into a zombie, and the corpse poison harms his descendants. Meanwhile, Zhengying accidentally finds out that the evil baby has appeared in the warlord's residence, realizing something is amiss, and quickly seeks help...
