Zhu Wulang (played by Wu Ma) is the host of a martial arts school, who is very superstitious. He disguises his daughter Yingcai (played by Luo Huijuan) as a boy and makes her learn martial arts from a young age. Zhu's disciples regard Yingcai as their junior. However, Yingcai has developed feelings for her senior Huashan Bo and has confessed her love to him multiple times. Yet, Huashan Bo misinterprets it all, thinking that his junior has homosexual tendencies. Maria (played by Zhu Mimi) is the owner of the Ma family Taijiquan school, living next door to Zhu Wulang, and they frequently clash. Maria has a niece, Mengli, who has returned from Japan. She is a health dance teacher trying to modernize the Ma family's Taijiquan. As a result, Zhu's disciples flock to the Ma family to learn health dance in pursuit of Mengli, which angers Zhu even more. On the day Mengli returns to Hong Kong, she is harassed by a local thug, but fortunately, Yingcai comes to her rescue and secretly develops feelings for her. Meanwhile, Huashan Bo also starts to have feelings for Mengli, leading to a love triangle. Yingcai tries to confess to her senior that she is a girl, but faces opposition from her father, sparking an argument. Determined to run away from home, Yingcai unexpectedly encounters a ghost during the Ghost Festival in July, causing a series of humorous misunderstandings between men and women.
