Xu Chaoyang (played by Lian Kai), the creator of the Kingdom of Perfume, though already over forty, is still a successful, handsome gentleman and remains hot in the romance scene. Xu's life is like a luxury item seen through a showcase by ordinary people, something to drool over, but a leukemia test result shatters everything, leaving him with only a year to live and his career in jeopardy. To grasp the only lifeline—a bone marrow transplant—Xu Chaoyang and his rookie secretary (played by Ma Yuan) set off in an RV to find his several ex-girlfriends, hoping to find a match for the transplant. As the "quest for flesh and blood" begins, the duo encounters a rebellious runaway girl, Liu Tong (played by Xiong Naiqin), who threatens them with a knife for a ride.
