Young man Che Wenjie (played by Andy Lau) encounters company boss's daughter Cheng Le'er (played by Gigi Leung). With the help of Le'er's friend Banana (played by Chiu Shuk-chan), they quickly fall in love. Le'er's ex-boyfriend Jin Moji (played by Lee Siu-Ming) becomes hostile towards Che Wenjie upon learning this and hires prank expert Gu Jing (played by Stephen Chow) to ruin Che Wenjie’s life. Gu Jing pretends to be Che Wenjie's father, Che Qinren (played by Ng Man-tat), who is an illegitimate child from the mainland, causing chaos.
