Due to unfortunate circumstances in his childhood, Vincent (played by Florian David Fitz) suffers from Tourette syndrome. After the death of his mother, his father, busy with work, sends Vincent to a sanatorium as he has no time to care for him. Life in the sanatorium is dull and monotonous, but fortunately, with the company of his two friends, Marie (played by Karoline Herfurth) and Alex (played by Johannes Allmayer), Vincent gets to experience the wonderful taste of friendship and love. In a meticulously planned escape, the three young people decide to go to Italy to see the sea they have long dreamed of. Completing this long journey is not easy for these mentally challenged children; first, Alex becomes jealous of the close relationship between Marie and Vincent, and then Marie falls into a coma due to an eating disorder.
