In 1962, Grace (played by Nicole Kidman) has been married for six years, and her every smile and frown have become classic images of a princess in the 20th century. However, she is now striving to reconcile her past with her present. She longs to return to the big screen, but hesitates due to her three roles - a mother of two, the princess of a European principality, and the wife of Rainier III (played by Tim Roth). Hitchcock (played by Roger Ashton-Griffiths) suggests she return to Hollywood, a proposal that leaves Grace distressed. The escalating international crisis and France's approaching invasion not only signify a crisis for Grace's family, marriage, and nation but also a personal crisis for her. It is a moment where a screen star far from her American homeland must make a tough decision: to go back and be that globally adored star loved by countless fans, or to embrace her new identity and her responsibilities to her husband, children, and this world’s second smallest yet her home and kingdom…
