This is an era where dreams shine brightly, and it is also an era where ideals cool down; this is the worst of times, and it is also the best of times, this is our Tiny Times. This is a youth story of a group of fashionable young people in the current era, a true reflection of their lives, and a microcosm of our times. The story takes place in Shanghai during a period of rapid economic development. The protagonists, Lin Xiao (played by Yang Mi), Gu Li (played by Guo Caijie), Nan Xiang (played by Guo Biting), and Tang Wanru (played by Xie Yilin), live, study, work, and grow in this beautiful and fashionable city. The four girls share a deep bond since childhood but hold different values and outlooks on life. As they live together in the same dormitory and their university life approaches its end, their previously calm lives begin to face endless challenges. The busyness of job hunting and internships, along with the immense pressure to survive, makes their seemingly peaceful campus life suddenly encounter various unexpected situations that they struggle to face and need to make choices about. At the same time, a group of boys including Gu Yuan (played by Ko Chen-tung), Jian Xi (played by Li Yueming), Gong Ming (played by Feng Xiaoyue), Chong Guang (played by Chen Xuedong), Wei Hai (played by Du Tianhao), and Xi Cheng (played by Jiang Chao) are also entangled in intricate emotional connections with these four girls… Facing immense pressure to survive and complicated emotional entanglements, the four girls will each experience significant transformations in friendship, love, and even family ties. In the face of these changes, will they still hold on to their life attitudes? How will their youth stories continue to unfold? This film is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name "Tiny Times," with Guo Jingming personally taking the helm as screenwriter and making his directorial debut.
