Veteran pickpocket Master Jin (played by Liu Kexuan) often works the streets with his daughter Annie (played by Peng Xiuxia) and two apprentices, Mi Gang (played by Sammo Hung) and Yan Tong (played by Chan Hung), successfully running their no-cost business without ever failing. One day, Mi Gang and Yan Tong visit a dance hall to flirt with girls; Mi Gang, who has a somewhat innocent demeanor, immediately falls for a girl sitting alone, Ya Ling (played by Yip Tak-Han). Just as their relationship seems to be developing, a fight interrupts them. Wu Sha Zhan (played by Ng Yat-Hon) is eager to capture Mi Gang and his apprentices, but unfortunately, he is clumsy and disrupts his own mission. Soon after, a criminal gang, impressed by Mi Gang's pickpocketing skills, seeks to buy the stolen IDs they acquire. Bound by circumstances, the apprentices reluctantly agree to complete this task.
