The story's protagonist is a silent, solitary assassin (Isaach De Bankolé), who always orders two cups of coffee and practices Tai Chi when bored, unmoved by any temptation. One day, he accepts a mysterious job and embarks on a journey to Madrid, Spain. Here, he must establish a linear connection with a series of contacts, with the proof of contact being a red or green matchbox. Among these contacts are a cautious middle-aged man who loves music (Luis Tosar), an elegantly dressed woman who is a movie enthusiast (Tilda Swinton), an elder captivated by Bohemian culture (John Hurt), and a mysterious Eastern woman obsessed with molecular science (Yuki Kudo). Following their guidance, the assassin gradually approaches his target...
