Bernard the Elf (voiced by Martin Freeman) is a lowly waste cleaner who lacks focus and is constantly in awkward situations, yet his dream is to become a great inventor. This year, he once again botches his experiment in the Christmas Tech Contest. Coincidentally, this small experimental mishap brings a crisis to Elf City. The villainous Benny (voiced by Tim Curry) invades Elf City, putting everyone in peril. In the midst of numerous dangers, Bernard accidentally discovers that he is the only one who can save the day. Encouraged by the sweet female agent Jodie (voiced by Ashley Tisdale), he gathers his courage and vows to save everything...
