In 1978 in Italy, Vikramaditya is a world-renowned palm reader. He is known as the "Einstein of Palmistry" and is a devotee of Saint Paramahamsa. Vikramaditya does not believe in love, a doctor. They meet on a train but part ways later. One day, Vikramaditya reads the palm of businessman Anand Rajput. Due to Vikramaditya's inability to predict a favorable future for him, Rajput's henchmen chase him, leading to his accident. He ends up in Prerana's hospital and receives treatment there. After recovery, Vikramaditya suggests that Prerana flirt with him. However, Prerana leaves the town, but Vikramaditya follows her. She accepts, and they start dating. However, Prerana's uncle asks her not to develop any feelings for Vikramaditya. When Vikramaditya and Prerana are traveling on the train, a stranger asks him to read his daughter's palm, who is an aspiring archer. He predicts that she has no future in sports and should focus on education. Everyone in the coaching staff is amazed by Vikramaditya's skills and requests predictions by showing their palms, but Vikramaditya hesitantly gives up along with Prerana. However, he realizes that everyone on the train is doomed to die immediately. He chases after the train to make it stop but is unsuccessful. Later that night, the train has an accident, causing multiple casualties. Prerana begins to believe in palmistry, and she lets Vikramaditya read her palm. He predicts she will have a long life and a bright future, but she immediately collapses and has a nosebleed. Prerana is taken to the hospital, where her uncle, also a doctor, reveals that she has an incurable tumor and may die within months. Vikramaditya disagrees with this assessment, as he predicts the opposite, but he is thrown out of the hospital. Prerana is now filled with hope for her life. On the other hand, her uncle believes Vikramaditya is a fraud and that only medication can change her fate. He tests Vikramaditya with the palm of a dead person, and Vikramaditya correctly deduces everything. Her uncle changes his mind and believes Vikramaditya's prediction. As expected, a remedy for Prerana's illness is found. Prerana joyfully proposes to Vikramaditya. However, he refuses her, saying he cannot love her because he has no "love line" and will soon leave the country. Heartbroken, Prerana attempts suicide out of sadness but accidentally comes across Vikramaditya's diary. She learns that Vikramaditya is willing to sacrifice his life to save her. Before leaving, Vikramaditya takes Prerana to a dance as per her wish, and the couple spends a close night together. Prerana leaves a note in the diary saying that when the time comes, she would choose to give up her life. She willingly encounters an accident and ends up in the hospital. Vikramaditya is in London attending a dance performance by her mother while reading Prerana's note in the diary. He calls the hospital and is shocked to learn about Prerana's condition. He urges Prerana to stay alive and promises to see her soon. When Vikramaditya finds himself at a dilemma regarding his predictions, he encounters a girl on the train who lost her hand in the accident. She tells Vikramaditya that since she no longer has a palm, she can write her own destiny. Vikramaditya is now rushing to meet Prerana; he boards a cargo ship to Italy, captained by someone he met in the hospital. However, the ship encounters a storm at sea, and everyone obeys the captain's orders to abandon ship. Vikramaditya, however, finds himself trapped on the ship alone. Overwhelmed by the forces of nature, Vikramaditya struggles for survival. He recalls his mentor Paramahamsa's saying that the accuracy of palmistry is only 99%, and that 1% of people will write their own fate. Determined to survive, he reaches a high point and fires a flare gun. The captain returns with a lifeboat. The ship sinks, but the drowned Vikramaditya manages to float to the surface.
