"Zatōichi" accidentally killed a man named "Jizō" three years ago. When he arrived in Banakura Village in the upper province, he wanted to pay his respects at Jizō's grave. Due to three consecutive years of poor harvests, the village struggled to pay its annual tribute. After much effort, the villagers managed to raise three thousand taels for the tribute to deliver to the "daikan," only to encounter unknown robbers, and the three thousand taels disappeared just like that... Chiyo, Jizō's sister, wanted revenge against "Ichi" and told the villagers that he was the prime suspect.
