Zhu Qi (played by Liu Xin You) has always dreamed of becoming an actress. However, after many years of struggling in the entertainment industry and lacking a bit of luck, she can only play minor supporting roles in dramas. One day, by chance, the big boss of the film company, Jeff (played by Lin De Xin), notices Zhu Qi and handpicks her to be the female lead in a highly popular New Year film. Excited yet afraid that her married status might affect her career, Zhu Qi decides to conceal this fact. Zhu Qi's husband, Lai Mao (played by Zhou Bo Hao), is an entertainment reporter, and for the sake of his wife's future, he can only reluctantly go along with Zhu Qi's decisions. However, as Zhu Qi becomes more famous, Lai Mao realizes that the distance between them is growing, which raises his suspicions.
