The film is based on true events, featuring Richard Jewell, a security guard who became known worldwide for discovering the bomb at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He acted quickly, saving countless lives and becoming a hero. However, within days, circumstances took a drastic turn; his dream of becoming an enforcer turned into a nightmare as he was defamed by the media and public, becoming the FBI's prime suspect. Jewell sought help from independent attorney Watson Bryant, firmly proclaiming his innocence. Yet, as Bryant worked to clear Jewell's name, he faced the united resistance of the FBI, Georgia state authorities, and the police; at the same time, he continually reminded Richard not to trust anyone trying to destroy him…
