Grandpa Daiki (played by Tachikawa Shinosuke) recently lost his partner, leaving him to live a solitary life with a cat named Tama. Although Grandpa Daiki feels very lonely, the adorable and lively Tama provides brief comfort to his soul, making their life together somewhat enjoyable. One day, a mysterious woman named Michiko (played by Koyuki) arrives in town. No one knows her background, but she opens a very trendy café that quickly attracts many customers. Grandpa Daiki wants to eat the pea rice that his late partner used to make, so he finds an unfinished recipe left by her and tries to replicate it. Michiko encourages Grandpa Daiki to carry on his partner's wishes and complete the recipe book, giving new direction and hope to his life.
