Sonja (played by Lena Stolze) is a high school student in Bavaria, Germany. To participate in a paper competition, she collects materials to write an essay on "My Hometown Under the Third Reich." However, as her investigation deepens, she encounters increasing resistance. Neither the villagers nor the government officials are willing to let Sonja uncover the Nazi history of this small town. Sonja's family and love endure tremendous pressure, and she herself is taken to court by the government. Overnight, the innocent girl in everyone’s eyes seems to transform into a hated bad girl...
