Keiko Gotō (played by Yoko Nanao), who works at a travel agency, suddenly discovers that she is a carrier of the AIDS virus. After an investigation, it is found that her first love from her student days was infected with the AIDS virus through a blood transfusion after an accident abroad and later transmitted it to her through sexual relations. The journalist Miyuki Tsushima (played by Kazuki Minami), who learns about this, comes to interview Keiko, hoping to change the public's prejudice against AIDS patients through her experience. Keiko starts dating Takano (played by Hideo Akai), but she is always afraid to reveal the truth.
