The private secretary of Minister of Finance Isobe, who is aiming for the position of Prime Minister, was a former aide named Riko Ikehatab, and she was murdered. Reporter Kouichi Motoda was investigating the mysteries of the political world and was probing into the life of his secretary Qin when this event occurred. He heard rumors that Qin's concubine, Aoga, was performing strange palmistry. Furthermore, high-profile politicians and business leaders were lining up to provide their palm prints, relying on her accuracy, and it was said that Qin himself built his current position thanks to this fortune-telling. Motoda began to shadow Aoga. One day, he was taken to a bar by a junior reporter named Sudou, where he met a peculiar and beautiful mama named Yukiko. Motoda was strongly attracted to her, and they began to meet secretly at his apartment. However, Motoda was murdered by someone, and Sudou, aware of the danger, took over Motoda's investigation and sought the clues he left behind. He discovered that there was a girl at a bar in Azabu who was known for her accurate fortune-telling, named Reiko, and that Aoga, Qin's concubine, was actually Reiko. Eventually, he was shown a photo of the mysterious fortune-teller, which turned out to be Yukiko and not Aoga. As the situation escalated, news reached Sudou of Aoga's brutal murder. Additionally, Yukiko summoned Sudou to a meeting with hotel tycoon Yoshitaka Takahashi. Yukiko revealed to Sudou that Takahashi was the enemy of her mother. Amidst the chaos of post-war dislocation, Takahashi was separated from his wife and returned from Manchuria, subsequently marrying Mayumi and having a baby. However, the baby soon died from illness, causing Mayumi to go into a state of shock. By chance, Takahashi reunited with his long-lost wife, vanished from Mayumi's sight, and started another family. The stolen baby born from their union was raised by the vengeful Mayumi, who taught her nothing but to exact revenge on Takahashi, utilizing her special ability in fortune-telling and waiting for the day he would appear. Unfortunately, along the way, she murdered Aoga, who had been suspicious. After Yukiko learned from Takahashi that she was not really Mayumi's daughter, she was on the brink of insanity from the cruel revelation.
