The Yukino family, who run the public bathhouse "Yukiyu," is forced to close because the male head of the family, Ihao (played by Ryuhei Matsuda), suddenly went missing a year ago. His wife, Futa (played by Rie Miyazawa), works tirelessly to support the family's affairs but gradually feels overwhelmed. Their daughter, Azume (played by Hana Sugisaki), faces severe bullying at school and is depressed. After a doctor's examination, Futa learns that she is in the late stages of cancer, with little time left. Wiping away her tears, Futa hires a private investigator to find her husband who had been living with another woman and discovers that Ihao has another daughter. She encourages Azume to face the challenges at school with strength and to confront everything that fate has thrown their way with a spirited attitude. Futa does her utmost to bring warmth to her family in their final moments together… Rie Miyazawa won the Best Actress Award at the 40th Japan Academy Prize in 2017 for her outstanding performance.
