Sales department employee Takako Yamashita (Miki Nakatani) visits a Chinese home-style restaurant called "Shanghai Little Restaurant" and invites the talented chef, Boss Wang (Tatsuya Fuji), to open a shop in the mall. After being rejected, she persists and visits multiple times. Unsuccessful in her attempts, Takako unexpectedly becomes infatuated with the simple and delicious dishes that bring happiness, becoming a regular customer. As time goes by, Takako and Boss Wang grow closer. However, the lonely and elderly Boss Wang suddenly falls ill, prompting Takako to decide to resign and wholeheartedly learn cooking from him in order to keep the restaurant, which exudes a fragrant happiness, running, embarking on a touching journey of culinary learning. This film is also a self-written and directed work by director Mitsuhiro Miura, following "Country Photo Studio."
