Niccolò (Tomas Milian) is a film director who encounters a girl named Mavi (Daniela Silverio) by chance, and the two quickly become close. One day, Mavi disappears for no reason, which confuses Niccolò, prompting him to embark on a journey to find her. Along the way, Niccolò meets Ida (Christine Boisson), to whom he shares the story of his relationship with Mavi, sparking her curiosity. With Ida's help, Niccolò eventually obtains Mavi's address, but what awaits him is not a heartwarming reunion. Niccolò ultimately marries Ida, and during their honeymoon, Ida reveals to her husband that she is pregnant, but the child in her womb is not Niccolò's.
