From a very young age, the younger sister (Zhu Lin) was abandoned by her parents and became an orphan. Fortunately, far away in Australia, a gentleman named Randall (Guy Pearce) lent a helping hand, allowing her to live a worry-free life in the orphanage. The sister has never met her savior; her understanding of Randall is limited to the various beautiful cards he sends her. In her impression, Randall lives in a big house, has a happy family, and is both wealthy and kind. One day, the orphanage where the sister resides has an opportunity to participate in an event in Australia. The sister secretly leaves the group and embarks on a journey to find Randall. However, the reality is like a cold splash of water in her face; Randall is not wealthy and has even lost his freedom. Randall's downfall does not change the sister's respect for him, and over time, a bond similar to familial affection develops between the two.
