Janis (played by Penélope Cruz) is in her middle age when she unexpectedly learns that she is pregnant. Although this child comes as a surprise, outside her life plan, she joyfully embraces the arrival of this tender new life. Another woman in a similar situation is named Ana (played by Milena Smit), but unlike Janis, Ana struggles to accept this turn in her life. This child not only brings physical changes but also anxiety and fear. It is with these two vastly different women, guided by fate, that they end up in the same hospital room.
