The story tells of a bus conductor, Ah Yi (played by Fang Ping). After he bravely rescues Ah Zhen (played by Li Yan Yan), the two fall in love and enter into marriage. They work hard together to create a happy life and welcome their lovely son. However, Ah Yi's job as a bus conductor is very difficult, with irregular working hours. He witnesses an elderly conductor unfortunately passing away due to a gastric hemorrhage, which deepens his awareness of the hardships and instability of the job. Soon after, to save costs, the company decides to implement a no-conductor policy, which causes Ah Yi to lose his job. To make a living, he decides to work hard on his driving skills in hopes of becoming a bus driver to secure his livelihood. Throughout this process, Ah Zhen keeps supporting him. They face the challenges of life together and strive to overcome difficulties. Eventually, through hard work and his wife's encouragement, Ah Yi becomes a bus driver and successfully preserves his job and source of income.
