An Eighth Route Army soldier captured a strategic attack map from the Japanese army, but unfortunately got seriously injured and had to hand the map to his farmer brother Er Zhu, asking him to rush to the train station to deliver the map to the comrades. Meanwhile, Qin Gui (played by Huang Hong) from Northeast China was assigned by the shopkeeper to receive the map at the train station. On the other hand, a cotton-picking farmer, Lao Yao (played by Wei Zongwan), who is determined to join the Eighth Route Army to resist the Japanese, and his young uncle Shun Zi (played by Zhao Liang) are searching for the Eighth Route Army.
