The new film by French director Antoine Husbak is the first part of his social trilogy, telling the story of an unemployed middle-aged man who gradually sinks into depression and contemplates suicide due to his inability to find work. It's a story that hits rock bottom. The script and overall narrative pace are excellent, reminiscent of a blend between the works of Stéphane Brizé and the Dardenne brothers in terms of dramaturgy and thematic depth.
