In a small town in Sicily, Gaetano has been the mayor for many years, renowned for his deceitful and political tactics. However, with a new mayoral election approaching, he is once again prepared to use various deceptive strategies to maintain his power. The people have become accustomed to the political whirlpool and deals, turning a blind eye to Gaetano's methods. But this time, Gaetano's opponent is Natori (played by Vincenzo Amato), a 50-year-old honest and upright professor, participating in politics for the first time. Natori is full of confidence and ideals, promising to change the political landscape of the town, break outdated practices, and introduce transparency and integrity. During the campaign, he faces various adversities and challenges, but he perseveres and ultimately wins the election. Once elected, Natori immediately starts to push for a new era of rule of law in the town, aiming to establish an honest and moral government.
