The story is about a rationalist modern Tibetan entrepreneur named Danzeng, who is determined to open the best café in Nepal. Just as he is wholeheartedly pursuing his dream, Danzeng is suddenly plagued by bizarre recurring nightmares and hallucinations. His friends and prophets warn him that this is an ominous sign of impending death. The sage and ancient texts suggest that only by finding a dakini can he save his life; otherwise, he will die within seven days. Danzeng views these prophecies and advice as foolish superstitions. But no matter how much we doubt and despise it, under the shadow of the threat of death, especially when it relates to our own lives, it is maddening and terrifying. Thus, Danzeng begins a frantic search for this "very special woman," a journey that pits him against his own paranoia and fears.
