The title "The Thorn of Death" is derived from the biography of Corinthians in the Bible, meaning sin. The writer Junfu (played by Kazunori Nagatomi) and Miho (played by Keiko Matsuzaka) have been married for ten years, and their relationship is in crisis. Junfu has taken a lover outside, and his wife hires someone to investigate and confirm it, causing her great mental distress and making her threaten suicide.
