The title "The Thorn of Death" is derived from the biography of Corinthians in the Bible, meaning sin. The writer Junfu (played by Kazunori Nagatomi) and Miho (played by Keiko Matsuzaka) have been married for ten years, and their relationship is in crisis. Junfu has taken a lover outside, and his wife hires someone to investigate and confirm it, causing her great mental distress and making her threaten suicide. Out of guilt towards his wife, Junfu resolutely leaves his lover, determined to reclaim the joyful times with his wife and children. However, contrary to his hopes, Miho becomes mentally ill due to overwhelming stress, no longer trusting her husband and constantly suspecting him, making it difficult for Junfu to maintain his last personal space.
