The emperor of the Dragon Kingdom (played by Huang Zongluo) is celebrating his sixtieth birthday and decrees a rooster fighting competition, sparking a wave of rooster fighting enthusiasm among the people. Farmer Zhang Laosan (played by Ma Enran) enters the palace with his mixed-feathered rooster. Due to the rooster needing rice wine before each fight, it quickly defeats two roosters, leading Princess Yueyue (played by Xie Lan) to become enamored with it, wanting to keep it in the palace. The wine-loving mixed-feathered rooster causes a scene in the palace, and Zhang Laosan and Goudan (played by Pei Yuanzhang) are expelled from the palace.
