The determined rookie prosecutor Kohei Kiichiro (played by Kazunari Ninomiya) deeply admires his former mentor, Takashi Mom above (played by Takuya Kimura). After years of training, Kohei finally achieves his wish and is transferred to the Tokyo District Prosecutors' Office Criminal Division, becoming a valuable aide under Mom above. Meanwhile, Saho Tachibana (played by Yui Aragaki) also joins the Criminal Division as Kohei's office administrator, but her true identity is an undercover agent. Her goal is to obtain solid evidence of the prosecutor using extreme and even illegal methods to secure convictions. Soon, a couple's murder case brings the suspect Shinsuke Matsukura (played by Yoshiyuki Morishita) before Kohei. Matsukura is a suspect in a murder case involving a teenage girl from 23 years ago, but due to a lack of evidence, he could not be convicted, and the case ultimately fell beyond the statute of limitations. Filled with rage, Mom above stubbornly insists on bringing Matsukura to justice, even instructing Kohei to push relentlessly in the predetermined direction. When it comes to human nature, no one can maintain 100% justice. This film is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Shuusei Shizuoka.
